An entrepreneur and South African born musician with aspirations of breaking into the entertainment industry, Kaymo has a modern contemporary hip hop sound in which he has compiled into an EP named Late Valentine.
Kaymo is definitely an artist to look out for as he believes in self-improvement; he has been a dedicated fan of hip-hop culture as he continues to work at perfecting his craft since he first decided to become a musician. This began several years prior with him learning to play the guitar and piano which exposed him to different facets of music, combining skill with talent, Kaymo has turned his dream into a reality in a short space of time.
The artist has been in studio since late last year recording his first project that was produced by Lee Global, the Marketing Director of 1990 Records, and their chemistry on the project can be felt as Lee Global was able to perfectly time and lay Kaymo’s vocals harmoniously on each track’s beat. Kaymo is quoted saying, “I wanted to introduce more of a love theme in trap, a new sound that can blend with the modern day music that most people listen to”, he furthered added, “I want it to receive acknowledgement for how relatable the project is.”
Upon following the endeavours of this young artist, he recently released his first music video from the EP for the song ‘Sometimes’ at the end of July in which he shot the video while under the quarantine lockdown, testament to his ambition and goal to inspire the youth to go after their dreams.
